Case study: client project

Luna Tracking Logistics: parcel tracking from Belgium to the DRC

Luna Tracking Logistics is a package tracking platform for freight shipments that we designed and maintain for a real client, live in production at lunatrackinglogistics.com. A customer types in their tracking code and gets a clear timeline, from pickup to delivery.

A readable timeline, even with a legacy system underneath

Tracking shows plain-language steps — parcel handed over by the sender at a depot, in transit toward its destination, delivered — whether the code is a native platform identifier or an old code from a pre-existing FileMaker system. The customer never sees the seam between the two.

What the platform covers

  • Public parcel tracking (native and legacy codes)
  • Versioned API (/api/v1)
  • Public rate calculator
  • Multilingual FR/EN/NL

Three proof points in logistics software

  • Bridging a legacy system
The platform absorbs an old FileMaker system without the end customer ever noticing — useful for any business that needs to modernise without a full rewrite.
  • Structured event timeline
This shipment tracking software turns every leg into one clear, dated line, from drop-off to delivery.
  • Rate calculator
A public tool that gives an indicative rate before a shipment is even created.
