Ecommerce migration service: switch platforms without silently losing data
Leaving Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Wix, BigCommerce or Shopware? We move your products, variants, images, categories, customers and orders to Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix or BigCommerce. You get a report of what was converted, preserved or flagged, plus the 301 redirect map that links every old URL to its new one.
What is an ecommerce migration?
An ecommerce migration is moving an online store from one platform to another, for example from WooCommerce to Shopify. It is also called replatforming. Products, variants, images, categories, customers and orders are transferred to the new platform. Every old URL points to the new one through a 301 redirect, a permanent redirect that Google follows.
A plain export followed by an import rarely works: each platform has its own export format, its own variant limits and its own category rules. Without conversion, data gets lost. Without redirects, old URLs return a 404 error and the store loses its Google rankings.
How a migration works
We read your source export (or your public site if there is no export) and list, before any commitment, what will carry over as is, what will change shape and what needs a decision from you.
Eloshon Converter applies the target platform's rules (variant limits, category hierarchy, identifiers, tax-inclusive or exclusive prices) and never makes data disappear without saying so.
301 redirect map from old URL to new URL, import into the target platform, product-by-product check on a sample, then the switch. Your old store stays online until the switch.
What gets migrated
- Products and variants
PrestaShop combinations, WooCommerce variations or Shopify variants, including complex combinations (colour + volume) and each platform's own limits.
- Prices, stock and tiers
Tax-exclusive, tax-inclusive, sale and tiered prices kept apart, stock per variant.
- Images
Image ↔ variant association preserved when the target allows it, not just a generic gallery.
- Categories and hierarchies
Depth and parent links adapted to the target platform's rules: Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix or BigCommerce.
- Identifiers and custom fields
EAN, GTIN, UPC, ISBN, metadata, translations.
- Customers and orders
Accounts, addresses and history carried over; marketing consent and order numbering handled as explicit decisions, not copies. Passwords cannot be transferred on any platform.
The tools behind the service
The migration runs on Eloshon Converter. It reads exports from Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Wix, BigCommerce and Shopware, and writes import files for Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix and BigCommerce. When no usable export exists, Eloshon Scraper rebuilds the catalogue from the public site.
Price
The packages on this page give a “from” price, based on catalogue size and what you migrate: products only, or customers and orders too. The quote gives the fixed price before anything starts.

Ecommerce migration questions
How long does an ecommerce migration take?+
It depends on the number of products and variants, and on what you migrate: products only, or customers and orders too. The quote sets the timeline before anything starts. Your old store stays online during conversion and checks; the switch happens at the end.
Will I lose my Google rankings?+
Your page addresses almost always change: on Shopify, for example, product pages move under /products/. Every old URL is therefore redirected to its new one with a 301 redirect, which Google follows. Nobody can guarantee your rankings; without these redirects, however, the old pages return a 404 error.
Are my customers and their passwords transferred?+
Customer accounts are transferred: names, email addresses, shipping addresses. Passwords cannot be transferred on any platform: your customers set a new password on the new store, for example through Shopify's account invitation. Marketing consent is handled separately: a "yes" in the old file is not consent for the new store.
What about my order history?+
The history is converted into a separate file. Shopify, BigCommerce and Wix do not import orders from a plain CSV file: orders go through an import app or the platform's API. In this service, we handle that step. Order and invoice numbers are handled separately, so the sequence has no gaps and no duplicates.
Do my images and variants come along?+
Yes. Each image keeps its link to its variant when the target platform allows it, instead of landing in a generic gallery. Import files point to the images online, so the old store must stay open until the import is finished. A variant the target cannot take, for example beyond its option limit, is flagged in the report.
Can I migrate my store myself?+
Yes, for a simple catalogue. Eloshon Converter, free during the Windows beta, produces the same import files we use, with the report of what was converted, preserved or flagged. Importing, reviewing and redirects are then up to you. Downloads will open with a free account on this site.
How much does an ecommerce migration cost?+
The packages on this page give a “from” price, based on catalogue size and what you migrate: products only, or customers and orders too. The quote gives a fixed price before anything starts. If you migrate yourself, Eloshon Converter is free during the beta.
