Eloshon Converter: the ecommerce CSV converter that never loses data silently

A CSV export from one platform is never directly readable by another: variants, attributes, categories, prices, images, customers and orders are organised differently. Eloshon Converter reads an export from Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Wix, BigCommerce or Shopware, understands what each field means, then writes import files for Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix or BigCommerce. You review them before importing, with the report of what was converted, preserved or flagged.

Migrate to Shopify, WooCommerce or Wix: three real product CSVs, converted for import

Migrating a store starts with a file the new platform accepts at import. Eloshon Scraper read the public product pages of three websites. Eloshon Converter converted each export into Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix import files; it also writes the BigCommerce format. These are the files the engine produces today, untouched: only the source descriptions were shortened. Every figure shown here is checked by tests before it goes live.

Sample5 real products taken from the first 10 of a scraping: this is not a whole catalogue. Descriptions shortened; names, brands and prices as they were on the site when it was scraped.

This scraping has no sizes: adidas.be’s variants are colours. The site gives one price per product, copied as is onto every colour. Two pages share the same identifier: the Converter makes one of them unique and flags it.

About images

The CSV file contains the image links. Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix download the images when you import. The Converter puts the right link in the right column of each platform.

Stock: the source sites show no quantity. The column stays empty, no figure is invented.

To check at import

Some source sites may refuse automatic downloads of their images by other platforms (ICI Paris XL refused our requests outside a browser). Check your images after the import.

Three paths, never a silent loss

For every piece of data it meets, the tool always follows one of these three paths — and the final report counts them.

Converted
A direct equivalent exists on the target platform: a price, a SKU, a main image.
Preserved
No direct equivalent, but the data is kept in another usable form, often a metafield: warranty, material, energy class.
Flagged
No reliable conversion is possible without a human decision: several columns that all seem to mean colour, for instance. The tool asks instead of guessing.

What the tool handles

Products, variants, prices, stock, images, categories
Complex combinations (colour + volume), tax-exclusive / tax-inclusive / sale / tiered prices, image ↔ variant association, hierarchies adapted to the target's limits, EAN/GTIN/UPC/ISBN identifiers, translations, metadata.
Customers and orders
Customer accounts, addresses, order history and order lines, in separate files. Shopify, BigCommerce and Wix do not import orders from a plain CSV: that file goes through an import app or the platform's API.
Marketing consent: a decision, not a copy
A "yes" in the source file is not consent for the new shop. The field is handled separately and requires an explicit decision.
Order and invoice numbering
Carrying over history is kept apart from the numbering logic of new invoices, so a sequence subject to accounting rules gets neither gaps nor duplicates.

How it works

The source file is read (separator, encoding and quoting detected automatically), its format and platform are identified, then each entity is normalised into a common canonical representation before being written in the target format. Invalid rows, duplicate SKUs and the known losses for the chosen direction are listed in the report.

No clean export?

A supplier, an old shop without admin access or a site you cannot get any file from: Eloshon Scraper rebuilds a structured catalogue from the public pages, which Eloshon Converter then adapts to the target platform.
